Episode 2: birdsong

Musician and professor of folk music Heikki Laitinen discusses the meaning of birdsong with postdoctoral researcher and project coordinator Heidi Björklund. The discussion is hosted by the festival’s artistic director Sanni Seppo. The conversation trio meet on Helsinki’s Talinhuippu hill to hear the dawn chorus of birds in the early hours of the morning.

Episode 3: The Fate of Our Bird Species

Conservation secretary Juho Leppänen from the Ornithological Society of Helsinki Region and Extinction Rebellion Finland activist Tiina Jalonen discuss how Finnish species are becoming threatened and how we could take action to protect them.
